Episode show notes

Ok. Let’s go girls. Today we’re going to talk about tapping into feminine energy- and general feelings as well.

If this is your first listen with me, allow me to introduce myself and welcome to the Soulfully Confident Podcast! I’m your host, Emily Elizabeth, creator of the Soulfully Abundant Group Coaching program and certified Life Coach. This podcast is for the person who feels insecure, lost, and wants more from life but feels stuck. It is for their life. In this podcast, we will cover topics including self-love, managing your emotions, reconnecting in your relationships, and even manifestation. Remember, you are loved, you are worthy, and you are so capable of anything you want to achieve. Let’s jump in!

Feel all the Feels

There is such power if you’re able to tap into the feminine energy that lives in all of us regardless of gender.

It can help you connect with yourself and allow you to embrace your nurturing side for your benefit (and others if you’re feeling generous).  So often we don’t even remember to gauge how and what we’re feeling from moment to moment. Quite the opposite actually, if anything we try to avoid our feelings. This is where you’ll find yourself running to some favorite pastimes like all-day Netflix binges, your classic “going for 1 drink” turned into 10, endless social media scrolls, you get the idea.

Also be careful if you throw yourself into fitness and/or nutrition with abandon since there is a fine line between coping and using healthy habits to enhance your connection with yourself, and using it to blatantly (sometimes literally) run from your feelings.

In this FREE 3 day training, I will share with you exactly how I went FROM: insecure, 'fake it until I make it' mentality, and very lost in my relationship TO: crushing my goals, feeling in control of my emotions, totally empowered to go after what I want, and to being in a truly secure and satisfying relationship.

Look at You, Super-sleuth

The key here is to put on your Nancy Drew hat and do some internal sleuthing. Simply ask yourself and then be HONEST. Are you escaping? Honest awareness is half the battle here. Evaluate your reasons for pouring that second glass of Pino, or getting that second slice of cake. Monitor your habits and reactions, instead of just blindly clicking “keep watching” and asking no questions.

The next step is to identify what you’re avoiding and figure out why. I like to call it the “one hard thing”. You know, the paper you have to write, the work you have to do- so instead you clean like the Queen is going to visit your apartment and later find yourself on some real weird FYP on the bowels of TikTok.

Is your one hard thing a tricky or hard emotion like holding some grief with a capital G? Cause guess what cutie, the only way out of that one is through. I know it sucks but you’re only prolonging the inevitable by baking 20 different kinds of cupcakes.

What My Emotions Taught Me; The Bottomline

None of us are immune; recently I found myself packing with feverish abandon to avoid the facts that I was entertaining some bittersweet feelings about moving. So, as I finally convinced myself to put down packing tape and tap into some self-awareness, I was able to recognize a few key things.

I told myself that resistance was futile and that in order to help I needed to find and feel the emotions I was trying to hide. After some handy dandy breathwork, I realized that I was both excited AND sad about my upcoming move, and you know what? I could be both- one didn’t invalidate the other.

In letting both emotions flow naturally, I was able to stop feeling an anxious panic in a rabid attempt at avoidance and glean what my emotions were trying to teach me/ inform my actions and experience accordingly.
