That’s right, we’re renting out our Holland house for 2 years, and embarking on #NomadLife. This is obviously bringing about some *feelings*, most of them good but some of them full of anxiety. Cause that’s change, kid.
If this is your first listen with me, allow me to introduce myself and welcome to the Soulfully Confident Podcast! I’m your host, Emily Elizabeth, creator of the Soulfully Abundant Group Coaching program and certified Life Coach. This podcast is for the person who feels insecure, lost, and wants more from life but feels stuck. It is for their life. In this podcast, we will cover topics including self-love, managing your emotions, reconnecting in your relationships, and even manifestation. Remember, you are loved, you are worthy, and you are so capable of anything you want to achieve. Let’s jump in!
All of these life changes have got me thinking all about new chapters and how they shape us- how we shape them. And I thought it might be fun/beneficial to reflect on new chapters together. Ready?
Growth is Good…and Scary
As we prepare to rent out our house, I realize that I will no longer be able to rely on this as “home base” anymore. This house holds so many memories; it was our first home together as a couple, and the ultimate symbol of everything familiar we will be releasing.
Suffice it to say, this process is as exciting as it is terrifying. How about you, friend? Let’s look back at your last chapter. Maybe it was hard, or maybe it was great or fun, but either way, what did you learn? I learned to advocate for myself and to set boundaries. I’m thankful for that, and for the things I was able to glean from hard times. Send your past year love and light even if it was turbulent because it got you here.
In this FREE 3 day training, I will share with you exactly how I went FROM: insecure, 'fake it until I make it' mentality, and very lost in my relationship TO: crushing my goals, feeling in control of my emotions, totally empowered to go after what I want, and to being in a truly secure and satisfying relationship.
What if your last chapter was fun and thrilling and joyful? Are you afraid of bidding it farewell? Just because it’s ending doesn’t mean you can’t keep growing, and it also doesn’t mean you necessarily have anything to fear, or that good times will never come again. Also constant excitement and fun sounds exhausting. Just keep your head up, keep on rolling, and embrace the changes ahead.
Look Forward With Hope, Not Expectation: The Bottomline
I’ve learned that life is a tricky dance of being excited for the future while appreciating where you’ve been and where you are. Restlessness robs you of the joy of living in the moment; don’t do it. This is really hard to accomplish, but I promise it’s worth trying again and again.
Also, try and make sure you approach any new chapters with hope and optimism. I like to write a letter to my new beginnings, and set intentions I try to manifest. It defines flexible goals I hope to reach and gives me a sense of purpose and control even though things are largely up to chance. Never forget YOU are in charge of your story, and if you can stay positive and open to possibility while also accepting the universe will take you where you’re meant to be, you’ll do just fine.
And so will I.
