The Power of Visualization and How To Use It

Breaking down what imagination is.

Let’s get one thing clear…we all have imaginations. When we were children, we imagined things but the difference between now and then is we believed it back then. We were so in our brains we didn't know the difference.

Here's an interesting fact: Our brains do not know the difference between a memory and our imagination.

This is so important to understand because so many of us are basing our present moments and our futures upon our memories. We allow our past to define us because we imagine all the things people said and did to us. They replay in our mind over and over again and it shapes a lot of our present moments.

Our mind is capable of changing the way we view things and it makes our perceptions shift and reshape. If you define yourself based on the memories floating around in your head, things are going to feel negative and it's not going to help you create results in relationships or give you happiness.

So... if your brain doesn't know the difference between memories and imagination, the more you use imagination to visualize the future the more your brain will register it. It will be able to gather evidence on who you want to be along with the love and success you want in your life.

Retraining your brain.

In our brain, we have a reticular activating system, which is a network of neurons that acts as a filter. It's what lets certain things into your brain and certain things not into your brain. The catch here is that you get to program this filter! You have the ability to control what enters and what can't.

Most people would love more positive thoughts and perceptions to come into their heads. But this isn't going to happen unless you practice those thoughts. Your brain is going to register what you train it to register.

So how do we train this filter?

Through visualization!

In this FREE 3 day training, I will share with you exactly how I went FROM: insecure, 'fake it until I make it' mentality, and very lost in my relationship TO: crushing my goals, feeling in control of my emotions, totally empowered to go after what I want, and to being in a truly secure and satisfying relationship.

How to visualize in a way that serves you.

Visualization is such a powerful exercise. When you tell yourself positive things about who you are and your life, your brain thinks it's true and registers it as if it's already happened. You are preparing yourself for that very moment to happen!

This opens the doors to so many possibilities and experiences that could actually occur in your life.

When I do visualization, I think about my future ALL the time and I feel certain that I'm going to have all the things I want and wish for. Whatever I focus on, I get more of. When you can change your focus and practice visualization, you'll feel so much more driven, motivated, and happy.

Visualization 3 step exercise:

Close your eyes.

  1. Imagine your future but start general.

  2. See what you picture happening, down to every detail.

This will help build your confidence, retrain your brain, and change your belief system. So, see what comes up for you and keep practicing this so that your brain believes it and makes it happen. You have to be consistent though! This is a building activity so give yourself time.
