What the Law of Attraction is (put simply).
To me, the simplest way to think about the law of attraction is to visualize yourself as a magnet. You attract what you put out. So the more positive you are, the more positive things you attract in your life. The more negative you are, the more negative things you attract. The work of Abraham Hicks and Mel Robbins has brought the law of attraction into the public eye. Some spiritual ideas behind it can seem kind of woo-woo, but there have also been brain science studies that support it. Again, I encourage you to just get curious about it. Think of the law of attraction as the road to getting what you want in life. Working with it, you can begin to manifest your desires and build a better life for yourself.

How the Law of Attraction affects your life.
There is a series of steps you go through to get the results you want in your life, and it always starts with how you choose to think about things. Our thoughts are in our control, our thoughts cause our feelings, and our feelings inspire action. How you feel and the actions you take all depends on what you’re focusing on. Are you focusing on what’s good in your life or only on what’s wrong? If you’re focusing on what’s wrong, you’re going to feel miserable, and you won’t be inspired to take positive actions. If you shift your focus to what’s positive, you’ll feel better and take more positive steps.
Actions you can take to Manifest Your Desires.
Getting what you truly want out of life is simple, but it isn’t easy. It’s a practice you have to commit to. Luckily, there are simple things you can do every day to start manifesting your desires:
Notice your thoughts and how those thoughts make up your reality. Your perception is your reality, not the other way around. What is your mind saying? What are you focusing on? Are your thoughts primarily positive or negative? Remember that everything starts with an idea. What goal do you want to achieve? It starts with your thoughts! So pay attention to them.
Focus on the things you DO want, rather than on the things you DON’T want. It’s easy to focus on what isn’t going well in our lives, but if we focus on that, we attract more of that into our life. Instead, focus on what you do want. Start to visualize your desires and reframe negative thoughts into positive ones.
Write a manifestation statement. I love working on these with my clients because it is so beneficial. Think about what you want and write a positive action statement around it. Just to give you a little snippet of what this looks like, if your desire is around a business, you might say something like, “I trust that everything is working out for me, and I want to have fun on this journey of creating the business I love.” Practice writing these statements yourself, and you’ll see the shift in your mindset.
