The first secret to overcoming insecurities and creating confidence.
Secret #1: Identify and forgive.
Most of you probably know where you feel insecure. If you don’t, I want you to take a moment to think about your biggest insecurities. Become aware of them and identify them clearly. This is the very first step. We are so much more than the thoughts that spin in our heads and when you can pinpoint those thoughts, you’re ready to forgive.
When you feel yourself falling into your insecurities, catch yourself and don't let those intrusive thoughts turn into big ones.
Forgive yourself for feeling the way you do and for thinking negatively about yourself.

Secret #2: Allow and reframe.
You have to allow yourself to feel insecure because if you don't, you're not allowing yourself to be a human being. We all have pasts and we all have negative experiences that make our emotions valid. You are not alone in dealing with insecurities, it's normal!
Once you've given yourself permission to feel insecure, you're ready for the reframing process. Whatever negative thought you’re having, turn it around into a positive one and tell yourself that over and over. You need to retrain your brain into believing what you want to believe. This is a process and it's going to take time but you have to allow your mind to believe positive things about yourself.
The third secret to overcoming insecurities and creating confidence.
Secret #3: Fail forward and take messy action.
We all get so stuck in the how of things…
How do I lose weight?
How do I start my business?
How do I improve my marriage?
Whatever it is, you're not going to have it ALL figured out, especially if you're too insecure to take the first step. And that is okay. You are where you are and you need to give yourself so much love and forgiveness. Through that love, you can begin to take those baby steps forward and create action.
Block out what you think other people are thinking about you, and do what you have to do to make yourself better. If you're wondering how to lose weight constantly, go to the gym, take that step, work on yourself, and don't worry about what others think.
Take action no matter how messy it feels to you.

I hope this episode helps you overcome any insecurities over time because it's not an overnight process. Do the work on yourself and step into a mindset where you can better your thoughts. Put yourself out there if you feel trapped in your insecurities because what's the worst that can happen? You fall down, but you try again.
