When you think of your dreams, goals and hearts desires that you are NOT going after, ask yourself why. Why don’t you go for them?
Or, what if you don’t even know what your goals are? Why haven’t you taken the time to think about them?
Because it’s new, hard, scary, because it’s change. What if you fail or you are embarrassed, anxious or humiliated in the process of going after your goal?
Well, screw that then. NO WAY! Not willing to feel any of those emotions...nope...not willing to fail.
But why? What’s so bad about those emotions? All of them are just vibrations in your body. Tightness in your chest, restricted breathing, body sweats, knots in your stomach...so what?
If those vibrations in your body are the worst things that happen to you, why is that so scary? What are you feeling right now NOT going after your goals? Guilt, regret, shame, insecurity, sad, depressed. All of those emotions also create uncomfortable vibrations in your body.
I’d rather go after my goals and get knocked on my ass, feel embarrassed and feel failure than feel regret and depressed NOT going after my goals at all.
Your goals, the before and the after, will contain discomfort. Both sides have uncomfortable emotions, but only one side has success, only one side has a goal achieved.
So, which side, which emotions will you choose?
