Experiencing Anxiety

Do you struggle with Anxiety?

I think everyone does, in some form or another, at different times in our lives. It’s a part of the human experience. It’s just a feeling, a vibration in your body.

But, we give it so much more credit than that. We say it cripples us, we can’t breath, anxiety takes over and we feel completely out of control. This is reacting to anxiety rather than allowing it, acknowledging it and learning why it’s there.

Do you know you can learn to control it without reacting to it? Try this out, really, genuinely try... see what happens.

Give yourself “Worry time”. 10 minutes every day. Sit and purposefully begin to worry to create anxiety. You will CHOOSE thoughts to think and focus on them to generate anxiety. Seems counter-intuitive, I know. But, you will learn that it is completely in your control to create it. Then, increase it. Notice how you do that... you deliberately choose to think more anxious thoughts. .

Once you truly realize that it is your thoughts causing it all and that you have the power to create and increase your own anxiety, then you also have the power to decrease it. Take time to write your thoughts down. Put pen to paper. Get to know your mind. Once you do all that, you’ll know how to manage anxiety, maybe not get rid of it, we are human after all, but at least not react to it.

Super important that as you do this you also need to apply these Breathing techniques. Breath from the nose into your belly, deeply. Put your hand on your belly and feel it rise with your deep breath and very slowly exhale, every bit of air out. Repeat 10x. This puts you in a place of allowing, as well as creating strong sense of connection of mind and body.

Anxiety does not mean that something has gone terribly wrong, it means you’re an evolved human being, it is not a problem until we make it a problem, allow it in order to own it.

After-all, it’s just a vibration in your body.
